Everything Mia does centers around protecting your privacy. When you delete something, it is immediately deleted from production. You own and control your data.
We do not share your data with third parties.
Mia collects annoyomous usages of how our applications are used to understand and improve the user experience. We run analytics on this data, and delete the annoyomous usage data after 90 days.
Your email address is what is used to login to your account. A few features that require an additional step of authentication are sent to your email address. We do not send any other emails to your email address because this would violate your privacy by giving your email provider details of your Mia account.
Sensitive data such as passwords and email addresses are stored as hashes. This information is not accessable by Mia.
Mia does not collect your IP address unless there is malicious use detected.
All data sent to and from Mia is encrypted by forcing HTTPS for all communitcation.
Public data, meaning data that anybody can access, is not encrypted. Private data, meaning all other data that users choose to share, is encrypted using military grade encryption and dynamic key generation. This ensures that each data element submitted has its own unique key generated.
Only public data and application data is stored, so no encryption is provided.
Mia does not censor speech. This would be a breach of your privacy as we would have to read all of your messages. We just ask that you maintain Mia's positive and respectful enviroment.
